On the afternoon of May 15, 2024, the National University of Laos (NUOL) and the Economic Research Institute for ASEAN and East Asia (ERIA) signed a cooperation agreement to achieve the goals of ERIA's Digital Innovation and Sustainable Economy Center (E-DISC). The signing ceremony took place in the conference room of the Office of the Rector. The agreement was signed by Major General Phouphet Kheopilavong, Vice-Rector of NUOL, and Mr. Koji Hachiyama from ERIA, in the presence of invited guests, officials, faculty members, and other relevant stakeholders. ERIA launched the Digital Innovation and Sustainable Economy Center (E-DISC) in August 2023 as an open innovation platform designed to facilitate knowledge sharing and collaboration among startups, businesses, academics, and policymakers. National Academy of Sciences Organizes "2024 UNESCO-UNITWIN Digital Entrepreneurship Online Training" for Female Students
The National Academy of Sciences, in collaboration with the Asia Pacific Women's Information Network Center (APWINC) at Sookmyung Women's University in Korea, successfully organized an online training program titled "2024 UNESCO-UNITWIN Digital Entrepreneurship Online Training." This program, held from April 30 to May 14, 2024, focused on "Women's Empowerment through ICT Skills and Leadership Education." Twenty female students from the Faculty of Economics and Business Administration at Mahidol University participated in the training. The primary objective was to equip students with knowledge and skills in IT, digital entrepreneurship, and leadership. A notable highlight of the program was the chapter presentation competition. "Team C: Four Musketeers_SHECHIC" emerged as the winning team.
